It was the end of a course in the middle of the term. The Plant food science ended on the 25th with a poster presentation by groups in the course. We had a quick get away planned for the weekend on a cruise to Finland, Helsinki.
A previous blog from me named 'Retreat' as title will show you how you could book one for yourself. We used Vikingline this time. Post lunch on friday the 25th of March, we took the train to Stockholm central. A quick visit to the vikinline office in the bus station made us realise that we were about 40 minutes away from the port if we walked it. So, the group decided to walk there as we had 2 hours to kill the boat sailed away. Some pictures from the walk-
The cabins were cheap. Worked out to 105 SEK a head. In the picture to the left will show how collapsable the beds are. As if the walk wasn't tiring enough, Lasma still had the energy to lift the bed while Marine was on top of it.
Yes, after the exercise, we tried the onboard entertainment with the live band and a dance floor.
